The responsibilities of a medical interpreter centres on face-to-face interpreting between patients and doctors/nurses during medical consultations. The interpretation provided to patients and the medical staff can sometimes affect the outcome of medical care. This is the reason why at Translation.ie, we provide only trained and highly experienced interpreters to attend hospitals and medical related environments.

We also understand the nature of medical interpreting can be very sensitive; therefore, it is of crucial importance for us to respect our clients’ confidentiality at all times. All interpreters contracted by Translation.ie are bound by the company’s Code of Conduct, so they will never disclose any information obtained during a medical consultation to anyone else.
